Recording Movies

With only a few clicks of the mouse BB TestAssistant can start to record everything that happens on your Windows desktop.

 

To record a movie:

  1. Run the BB TestAssistant Recorder program from the BB TestAssistant start menu group. The Recorder icon will appear in the system tray.

  2. Right click the Recorder tray icon to show the main menu. Select Record New to start recording.

  3. Once BB TestAssistant is initialised it will run in the background recording everything you see on your desktop. Use Windows and applications exactly as you normally would. A red indicator on the Recorder tray icon will flash to indicate that BB TestAssistant is recording.

  4. To stop recording, right-click the Recorder tray icon and select Stop from the main menu.

  5. When you stop recording BB TestAssistant will prompt you to choose one of these options:

For now you can select to open the recording for editing. This will open BB TestAssistant Player. For a quick introduction to the Player see Playing back movies

 

Note: Movie files have a .fbr or .fbz extension and by default they will be created in a folder called "BB TestAssistant Movies" in your "My Documents" folder.
