When recording sound with your movie, use the Sound tab of the Recorder Options window to change the relevant settings.
There are a number of formats that sound can be recorded or exported in. Selecting different formats will vary the quality of the recording and the amount of space it will occupy in the movie file. The Sound Format combo box will display the different formats available on your PC. Each format has three properties, displayed in the combo box entry:
Sampling rate: for example "44.1khz". A higher sampling rate will result in better sound quality but also larger movie files.
Mono/Stereo: If your microphone is capable of recording stereo, this may give better quality but will result in larger movie files.
Bits per sample: 8 or 16 bits: Higher bits per sample will result in better sound quality but also larger movie files.
BB FlashBack can compress the sound recording using MP3 encoding, to produce a smaller movie file. This should be checked unless you are experiencing problems recording sound.
BB FlashBack uses a redistribution of the LAME MP3 codec: www.mp3dev.org .
