The Edit toolbar provides one-click access to some commonly used functions.
How to show or hide the Edit toolbar:
On the Player menu bar select the View menu and the Toolbars item.
Check or uncheck the Edit toolbar item to show or hide the Edit toolbar.
The buttons:

Insert new frames before the selected frame. | |

|
Merge the selected range of frames into one. | |
|
|
Split the selected frame into two frames. | |
|
|
Delete the selected frame. | |
|
|
Crops the movie down to the selected frames, deleting all others.

Shows the properties dialog for the currently selected textbox or image.

Deletes the currently selected textbox or image.
