To fully install BB FlashBack, you will need to be logged on to the PC as a user with administrative rights. This is because special ‘driver’ software is required for the recorder to operate. Due to the way the driver interacts with the Windows operating system, it is unlike normal applications you may install and therefore requires extra access rights.
If you attempt to install BB FlashBack when logged on as a user without Administrative rights, you will see a warning message explaining that a program called DrvInstaller will be installed and can be run later to complete the installation. The installer will then copy all of the BB FlashBack program files to your hard disk and perform the installation as normal, but not install the driver.
In order to record movies, the driver must be installed.
To complete an installation that was started by a user without Administrative rights:
Logon as a user in the Administrators group for that PC or domain.
Use the Windows ‘Start’ button to go to the BB FlashBack program group and select ‘DrvInstaller’
The DrvInstaller program will run and install the driver software required for BB FlashBack recorder to be able to record your actions and create movies.
