About Events

Just like a conventional movie you might watch at the theatre or on TV, a BB FlashBack movie is a series of still frames played in a sequence.

Each frame can contain a number of events – visible changes that occur during that frame.

A complex operation, such as drawing a complete window, will be broken down into many separate events which each draw part of the entire window.

When displaying a movie in discrete frames, BB FlashBack Player must put each event into a frame. The Player uses one of two methods of allocating events to frames and although there it is unlikely that a user would ever need to change from the default method, the option has been included.

Why would I need to choose a different event allocation method?

If your movie contains some frames that do not display smoothly, it is possible that the default allocation method (Proportional) has filled each of those frames with too many events to draw within the short space of time allowed. The alternative allocation method (Flow) may result in better playback.
