Can I use text annotations in my movies?
Yes - you can easily add text boxes and callouts. Customise their appearance with drop shadows, transparency, background colour fills and gradients and a range of fonts.

Can I use sound in my movies?
Yes. Sound can be captured during movie recording through any sound channel on the computer (such as the PC microphone, CD drive or system sounds).
Or, you can add sound after recording. BB FlashBack handles multiple sound tracks.

Can I edit movies I've recorded?
Yes. BB FlashBack includes a powerful but easy to use editing functions.
You can add text, sound and graphics, add or remove frames, cut and paste footage inside or between movies, change the speed of movie sections, edit or rerecord the mouse cursor, clip the movie to a smaller size, insert pauses, convert your movies into a wide range of industry standard formats and more.

What formats can I publish my movie to?
BB FlashBack can export your movie quickly and easily into Flash, AVI, WMV, MS PowerPoint and standalone EXE formats.
EXE format requires no programs to be installed on the target PC in order to play.
If you choose to keep your movies in FlashBack (FBR) format, a freeware player is available for distribution to your audience.

I am using the shareware edition: if I register will the Blueberry logo disappear from my movies?
Certainly. The Blueberry logo is only displayed in evaluation copies of the program. Once purchased and licensed, Blueberry logos will not appear in your movies, and will be removed from all existing FlashBack movies when you edit them.

Do I have to pay any royalties each time I show my movie?
Not at all - they are your movies.
Licenses are only required to use the BB FlashBack authoring package, not for viewing movies produced with the software.

What technical support will I receive?
Blueberry prides itself on customer care and we will always do our best to offer first rate product support.
A standard purchase comes with standard email support and minor updates free. Despite being our 'standard' level of service, Blueberry strives to answer all questions and provide a high level of support.
Larger companies and regular movie authors may decide to purchase a premium support plan. These entitle the owner to premium email and internet support, UK telephone support, optional involvement in any beta programs we run and free major upgrades if any are available. Premium support plans are valid for one year.

Will there be product updates and do I have to pay for these?
Blueberry regularly releases updates as part of our plan to continually improve and perfect our software. We separate these into two categories: minor updates and major upgrades.
- Minor updates are released frequently and include fixes to any bugs reported, design tweaks and often even new features. If you already have a licence, you can update your copy of BB FlashBack for free via the "check for updates" function.
- Major upgrades are infrequently released new versions of the program containing a whole range of new features and tools. if you already have a licence, you will still need to pay something to update to a major upgrade. However, upgrading is optional, so you could continue to use the version of BB FlashBack originally purchased.
Owners of premium support plans and those who purchased within thirty days before release of a major upgrade are entitled to the upgrade for free.

Can I get a discount?
Blueberry offers a 40% discount for educational customers, and those who own a competitive product. Registered charities and government customers receive a 15% discount.
The price per copy falls when buying more than a single license, depending upon the quantity. If you require more than twenty BB FlashBack licences, or qualify for a discount as above, please contact us for further information.

Which product in the FlashBack family is right for me?
BB FlashBack is aimed at creating tutorial, training and demonstration movies. We recommend you choose this product if you are unsure of your recording needs.
BB FlashBack Express provides screen recording functionality at a low cost. It allows you to record the screen with sound and export movies to Flash and AVI. No editing features are included.
BB TestAssistant is designed for software testers and developers, who need to visually capture and report problems they find during development and testing.
BB FlashBack SDK is a set of components that allows software developers to add screen recording and playback to their own applications.
